National Trends and Services (NTS)
NTS was established to empower communities and families to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services through advocacy, education, and service.
Link Up The Vote
The Bradenton/Sarasota (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, launched the Link Up to Vote Initiative on National Get Out to Vote Day in the fall of 2023. To inspire more engagement in the political process, we go “where they live, where they play, where they pray.”
We collaborated with trusted local community organizations already doing the work and formed the Community Collaborators Committee. The committee members include The League of Women Voters, National Association of Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Manatee and Sarasota, Suncoast Women of Action, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and Gamma Xi Boule, and was led by our NTS Chair.
We had tables and displays at churches, college campuses, and community festivals with the community collaborators. In the fall of 2024, we hosted two performances of “Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired, The Fannie Lou Hamer Story” at the West Coast Black Theatre Troupe, and the show received outstanding reviews and was sold out.

Rubonia Community Center
NTS met with the seniors at the Rubonia Community Center in Manatee County on February 13, 2025. They facilitated a fun and engaging Black History Bingo Game. At the end of the session, each senior received $75 in gift cards from Walmart or Publix, donated by our chapter members. $1000 in gift cards were donated from the chapter members.
