A Message From Our President
The members of the Bradenton/Sarasota (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are thrilled that you are visiting our website and welcome you to take time to navigate through the various pages. As you make your way, you will be sure to observe that our chapter was organized almost 25 years ago and is currently sustained by 44 members, who on a yearly basis, provide over 3,500 hours of community service to the communities of Manatee and Sarasota Counties. We are one of 19 chapters in the State of Florida and 288 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 15,000 professional women of color and is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
The members of The Links, Incorporated are influential decision makers and opinion leaders. We are business and civic leaders, role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work towards a common vision by engaging like-minded organizations and individuals for partnership. Links members collectively contribute more than 500,000 documented hours of community service annually.
