The Links, Incorporated, was founded in 1946 and is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
The Bradenton/Sarasota (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was charted on February 10, 1996. We are charged with providing transformational programs (1) that are responsive to the academic and development needs of youth, (2) that increase and expand knowledge of the arts, (3) that raises awareness on economic, health, social justice, and other barriers that affect our quality of life, (4) that serve the educational, health and cultural needs of the global community, and (5) that promote programs that support the maintenance of good health and address chronic health disparities in communities of color.
